The degree programme will deliver an optional Professional Practice Year / or Year Abroad (Study / Placement) between Year 2 and Year 3. This is an attractive offer to students and provides the opportunity to work with industry partners, develop professional practice skills and align experience to develop into third year studies and align research into the specialism option module; Research Project.
The degree programme will also continue to deliver Study Term Abroad where students will have the opportunity to study in Year 2, Term B, at a partner university. The locations range from Canada, China, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Malta, Mexico, Spain, Romania and USA.

The programme offers a diverse range of opportunities beyond the traditional classroom environment. Throughout the three years of study, students will engage with a variety of guest speakers whose expertise provides distinctive and insightful perspectives that enrich the academic curriculum. The programme has been recognised for its extensive industry connections, which effectively complement the module content. These partnerships span organisations ranging from national governing bodies to grassroots sports clubs, all of which contribute interactive case studies and professional insight to support both assessment activities and peer learning.
The degree programme has an established strategic partnership with Lincoln City F.C., recently promoted to the EFL Championship for the 2026–27 season.
